A New Love??

Sure...break my heart just when I needed you most!
It couldn't have happened at a worse time.  Just as I was about to sprinkle the confectioner's sugar on the warm cookies, it broke.  The damn pin popped out and that was the end of my eight year old Dollar Store sifter!  Oh crap!  Now what I am going to do? I thought frantically especially with a few recipes left!

The search began...WalMart, Target, Ocean's State Job Lot, JC Penny, Kohl's.  What they had wasn't what I wanted or needed.  Call me fussy, but I knew when I found the right one, I would know!

Wandering into TJ Maxx after my workout at the gym I knew I was looking for bathroom rugs.  Yet something called me down the kitchen isle and there it was...the love of my life...the best little sifter ever!!!  Now it may not look like much in these pictures but how good can you expect a sifter to look?

Not only does it have a lid on top and a lid on the bottom, but also all you do to "sift" is gently shake it side to side!  No more squeezing a handle...it's all in the wrist!

Now I KNOW you all are wondering about me and my cookie frenzie so I have to report the numbers are in!  Besides it's easy for me to take a head count today since I'm preparing "the bags."  I surpassed last year's total!!!

Peanut Butter Chip (new this year)

Oh my goodness! You put me to shame, JP. But I can live with it!

Merry Christmas my friend. :)
Looks like a great sifter!

All your treats sure do look yummy :-) I've been delivering mine this week. Yesterday I left a surprise in the mailbox, and today I am taking one to the neighbors that moved into the Powell's place :-)
Wow, JP! You've been a busy baker!

Merry Christmas! :)

Holy Cookie Batman! I will be right over! ;-)
My, my, look at all those goodies. That sure is a fancy sifter. I use my fine mesh drainer and all I have to do is shake it back and forth. haha

Merry Christmas!

I have never owned a sifter or used one but reading your story almost brought me over to the baking side of life. i am totally stunned at all you baked. not even my mother did all that and she was a crazy baker. now don't faint when i share this, but the only cookies i have ever baked are the kind you slice off or break off. Merry Christmas from a non cook in Florida.
