A Story: The Scrapbook
Years ago, when my daughter was married and her father-in-law was preparing to move, he gave me a few of his memories.
Whenever, I would go to my daughter's house to visit and he was there, we would sit, talk and trade stories since we were the same age. He passed away many years ago but I think of our talks and his smile often.
He was a quiet man...a gentle man and for some reason, he chose to bestow some of his keepsakes to me. I remember the day he'd packed a box of things and handed them to me. He said, "I know you'll take care of them for me." I have.
