Weekends Are For...
Last Saturday, my son came by to spend the day with us. Calling earlier in the week, he mentioned that his wife and daughter (at the old age of three) were having "the girls" over so he needed to split. Thinking of them entertaining "the girls" was adorable and the fact that hanging with my son has always been a pleasure, I prepared a nice pot of Chili and a pan of cornbread. It was a very blustery day here..perfect for something warm and flavorful. The Prez, however, had other ideas and unbeknownst to me, had purchased "Red Hots" and large rolls to have them on...man food!
Arriving late morning and spending the entire day with us, he had it all...just like in the old days when he lived home many, many years ago. In fact, he kept saying that he had my Chili and cornbread or a Red Hot with the Prez since before we moved to Virginia. Of course, dessert was another story. He hit the carrot cake. That was, of course, right
before he headed for home with a cup of Spiced Chai Tea.

He brought back the two 9 x 13 baking pans I'd brought to their house filled with cupcakes, so I figured I could trust him with the stainless steel travel mug.
Remind me to get it back!
