A Whopper of a Tail
Once upon a time, there was a dog named Copper. Occasionally, when Copper's master would go visit one of her neighbors, Copper and Moon would go as well. Sometimes, while I visited with Margaret, chatting about plants and shrubs, the dogs would wander around her property, running to and fro through the woods.
One day, however, the pond called to Copper. It said, "Psst, come on in Copper. If you do, perhaps you can catch the snapping turtle that's swimming out in the middle." And so, Copper, the bone~head, entered the water.
He got out up to his chest and decided not to pursue his prey (thank goodness!!!!). Can you imagine Copper tackling a snapping turtle...especially the big one that inhabits Margaret"s pond?
