Direct From the Netherlands

As silly as this may sound, I wanted to show you what these look like before I eat the entire package!  I LOVE DUTCH STROOPWAFFLES!

If you never tasted these caramel delights, I would strongly urge you to order some.  Of course, I'm fortunate.  I get mine from my friends, Diny and Menno, who live outside of Amsterdam.  This year, they gave them to my daughter to bring home to me when they were in Aruba.

Stroopwaffles are large enough to place over a cup of hot, steaming tea or coffee just long enough to soften them, making them a chewy caramel melt in your mouth delicacy!

The water for my tea is heating as I type.

I'll have to check the Dutch Toko downtown and see if they carry them.

I've never heard of them but they sure sound good. My hot cup of coffee is looking a little sad right now because it doesn't have anything yummy like that warming over top of it :)
Oooh, lucky you - those are tasty!! I love 'em, too.

Stroopwaffles....stroop is the Dutch word for syrup....we have them right here in good old Guelph Ontario in the Dutch Toko store. Piles of them...two or three different brands. I bought some. I brought them home. I ate them. Yes I did. Were they good? Is the Pope Catholic?
