Forget "Flock"

Today finds us at another birthday celebration.  Turning eighty eight earlier this month, my MIL's party is today.  We'll get to visit with nearly everyone in the family with the exception of one of the Pres' brothers and his family as they live in Montana.

However, Uncle John and Auntie Gloria will be there as will several of Mom's closest friends who I love chatting with.

When I first met the Pres' family I couldn't believe there were so many of them!!

Lets face it.  There's my sister and I and my two children...that's it...done deal.

On my husband's side, he has seven brothers and sisters, cousins and all his Aunts and Uncles.
You can't even call that a flock.
  To me, it's "a herd"!

Over the years, though, I've come to love the herd as much as they love me.  Each one is unique.  I love visiting with each and every one of them.

Yet, when they are together in times like this, they are family!

Celebrating MOM!!...:)

Happy Birthday, Mama Bella!

Have a great Birthday celebration. It's so nice you love your mother-in-law. I have a wonderful and very loving mil too, but some of my friends....I feel really sorry that they don't have the same nice relationship that you and I do with our mil's.
