Happiness Is...
When they asked me to watch "the little one" for the day, I couldn't get the "absolutely" out fast enough!
Packing my things for an overnight, I also packed a separate bag, a craft bag, loaded with goodies. In it:
colored pencils
paper
craft paper (for the Easter bunnies)
glue
pipe cleaners (various colors, of course)
tissue paper (pastels...to make flowers)
craft scissors
And then in another bag the ingredients for yet another project:
cookies (flower shaped)
icing (various colors)
sprinkles
I also threw my sneakers, a play badminton set and some garden tools in the trunk for outdoor activities since it was in the sixties and I love being active and so does she! While outside, we made labels for all the plants around the yard...well, I wrote the name of the plant and Mia stuck them in the ground. What a team!
We talked. We sang. We watched TV for a short time right before nap time (hers and mine!!). We were together for a little over 36 hours and I LOVED every minute of it. She taught me...or tried to anyway...all the names of her children and all her princesses.
We made a Bunny & a Golden Bird.
We made a creepy black spider which she placed in the LR while we played in the FM! LOL!!!
We made flowers, birds and hearts from pipe cleaners too!

How could I ever have thought that living in Virginia or being distant from my grandchildren was as AWESOME as this?!
Yes...HAPPINESS IS!
