Have you ever considered that they may think YOU are their pets lol? After all....they have you trained to feed them, water them, exercise them, pick up their doo doo.....
I think about that all the time. And I wonder what they think of me too. I know they all have had their different opinions about me, the ones I have now and the ones that are now gone.
Hello JP: I love your new header.. As you might know, I have 5 dogs. They are my family): I love them to the moon and back. They are never left alone. unless I nip to the shop..but they are in a big run .. as we live where there are sheep and other animals. I have had dogs ,most of my life. Within the last 15 years. I never thought that I would have them to talk too , and have a little grin or a smile back of them, with big doggy type happiness . What joy they bring me. Each one has its own little character. The photo of your dog is lovely.. looks like the snow is still lingering..! happy Sunday val x
Strand reflection : it looks like a ghost waiting for the dog... brrrr !
Your question regarding pets is very interesting, and since I have three cats, it actually pops in mind quite often. I don't have children, nor family, and my cats are exactly that to me. Not at the same level of love : I mean I won't cry as much for one of my cat as I did for the loss of my father, but they are very present into my life.
I wonder though what I am for us : they are cuddly most of the time when they need food, or they want to play with me ; they don't really fool me on their feeling ;D. But living with them is very nice : I have people to take care of, and that's very important for a human being : taking care of other.
oh, there is no doubt, they are part of my family.... I often feel sorry for people who don't have any pets.. I think of all they are missing out on. I'm sure they don't feel the same way, but I feel as if it is a deprivation!...
What a regal beauty....and a good question. Sometimes, when they are all making demands before I've had a cup of coffee, I lose sight of how fiercely I love them all. But luckily for us all, I remember pretty quickly!
Bob is part of the family, we love him and would like to think he loves us.Bob is the long haired Syrian hamster. I wonder what your dog is thinking about in this shot.
Yes I think about it daily and in my post a few weeks back A tribute to Sultan, I even thought deeply about what pets that have moved on still mean to me. I couldn't imagine my life without animals really.
