F is for...
When the Pres and I began coming to Aruba, we usually travel with my daughter and her significant other...her boy FRIEND, Angel. However, people are very FRIENDLY here and we have, over the years, met many wonderful people...locals, employees, employers, vacationers and of course, other time share owners.
Becoming very close to one particular couple over the years, we look forward to seeing them each Spring. Coming from the Netherlands, they usually arrive a day before us and always greet us with smiles, hugs and kisses.
Our FRIENDS from the Netherlands, however, need their rest when they arrive because of the time change. It takes them a few days to catch up to Aruba time which is, I believe, a six hour time difference from the Netherlands. And, although Menno has recovered fully from his battle with cancer in 2010, taking it easy is a priority since he continues to be a radio personality (DJ to me), working out of his home!
They are the warmest, sweetest people I've had the pleasure to meet here on the island and we look forward to seeing them each year.
Deciding on "Fishes and More"
another awesome restaurant here, we had dinner with them Thursday night.
FOREVER FRIENDS have a lot to catch up on!
Although I have taken many photographs, I am having difficulty posting them!
