Brightening the Day

The sun makes me feel good.
It makes my dogs feel good.
It makes the earth feel good.
It even made this retired pre 1958 carrier, off the coast of Newport, RI, look good when we were there last week.
I love what happened to the  rays in these photos...another blunder!

this sun worshiper approves of the sun on the ship and on any and every thing.

I told someone the other day that even though we have had a ton of snow, at least we've had sunshine. I love the sunshine. Today though, raining all day, then turning into ice tonight. No sun :-(

What a great capture you made on those pink tinged clouds. Lovely!
I just stepped outside..and it is actually cold enough that you don't want to stay out more than a few minutes!
Finally! Except the wind is terrible! Alwasys something..lol

The rays made your pictures very mystical...

Great picture! I love it when the sun comes out when it hasn't been out for a few days! We have been having temps -9 and wind chill of -20. Today it was 79 outside at my house! Snow is forecast for tomorrow night! ugh....
Sometimes "blunders" make the most interesting photos!

Wonderful sun ...and your blunder added even more interest. So just pretend you did it on purpose!

I can almost feel the warmth from your photo. I remember many years ago visiting my brother when he was stationed in Rhode Island. Great shots!

You might call it a mistake, I call it beautiful!

Thanks for joining in with Sunlit Sunday again.

Aside from the interesting shape of the ship, the sky looks incredible in these photos. I quite like how the colourful ray showed itself in the second shot. Some accidents are happy ones.

Very nice photos. I often get those sun spots and rays in my photos too. The second one has a pretty ray of sun.

Is there a naval base near you? They look like naval ships.
