A Blueberry Thank You
After drinking my coffee, I began to think about breakfast. But, still hearing the Pres snoring, I knew I had to wait...and wait...and wait. Usually I'm up by 5:30. The Pres sleeps until 8:30-9:00! UGH!!!
When I'm hungry, waiting is hard. And I was really hungry!
Finally, when I saw the clock on the microwave hit 8:23, I said to myself, IT'S LATE ENOUGH and began heating up the griddle.
"Honey. Honey, you awake yet?"
Groan, moan came from the master bedroom.
"Honey, you'd better get up. Breakfast is almost ready and we're having blueberry pancakes."
"I'm up...I'm coming...I'm moving," he muttered.
Walking over the the frig with his glass in hand to get his OJ, I said, "Nope, it's right here on the counter...already poured."
Smiling slyly, he said
"Did I miss a holiday? Our anniversary? Valentines Day?" he questioned as I planted a smooch on his dry lips.
"Nope. I wanted to thank you for driving me back and forth to Jay's and Bette's the past few weeks. Besides, I was in the mood for pancakes...my pancakes...made with lots and lots of wild blueberries!"

And how sweet you are! To do something special, as a thank you.
Ohhhhhhhhh, we all should do such things! Notice the nice little things done for us, by someone. And let them know that we notice. And are grateful.
What a lovely posted lesson. Thank you!!!!!!
Blueberry pancakes sound delicious and now I realise we missed pancake Tuesday last week. Perhaps make up for it next week. :)
