Good News Kept Coming

Thinking I would be able to be at the gym by 8:15, I fed the dogs, took them for a walk and began "poop patrol" as always. While our surroundings insulate us from noise, suddenly I heard the high pitched beep, beep, beep and knew today was the day the plans would be changed.

Since the Pres always sleeps much later, I immediately went to his window and shouted, "Honey, honey...wake up, they're here to begin digging!!"

And that is how the day began.

How did it go, you ask?
The Pres stood by and "supervised" while I served platefuls of warm zucchini bread and muffins with caramel and cream cheese icing throughout the morning.

The day only got better when our new neighbor stopped by to chat for a while.
Then after the boys left, the phone rang. It was the mechanic telling us that the Pres truck was ready and it was a little less than they had predicted!!!

When we were coming back from the repair shop, I just had to stop on the bridge about a half mile down the road from our house.

When I looked to my right there were two eagles hunting.  Motioning the Pres to continue on, I stopped on the bridge.  I think one of them is my immature eagle!

As they climbed higher, I didn't even have time to zoom in on them yet
was able to get both in the same frame...:)

Tonight we celebrated with Chinese and our "pjs"!

Well I would have to say that a day can't get much better than that even if your original plans changed.
