There is no silly. Covered bridges in our area are normally rural. This one appears to be in a more populated area and I'm surprised it has survived. Very nice photo.
It's not silly at all! What a cool bridge! Its been a long time since I saw a covered bridge -- I think I'm due! ...But that means I may have to go to Wisconsin and the in-laws...hmmm... ;-)
Oh, how lovely. We don't have them in Australia but I remember them in a film "The Bridges of......." possibly with Clint Eastwood. They have lovely one way bridges in New Zealand which intrigued us when we were there on holiday. They though are not covered as in the US. That is a beautiful picture; thanks for sharing.
Lovely shot. (I can't help but wonder where you were standing though -- it feels like you must have been hovering in mid-air high above that road to take the shot.)
I will never see a covered bridge again without remembering Merle Streep in THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. A sad theme of the call of the soul mate and the call of duty. Thankfully I never had to make the choice but that's what those bridges mean to me now. Beautiful but sad. The black and white theme you used was so perfect for the way I see them. Thanks for sharing your photo. I would love to see one up close and personal one day but I doubt at my age that I will.
