The Perfect Place

Another completed task for the Pres, although it was quite an undertaking, I'll admit.
He and Luke brought four heavy planks of wood in from the garage and placed them across the steep, wide stairwell.  They then laid sheets of plywood on top of the planks.  Then the 10 foot ladder was placed on top of the plywood.  Luke then used my longest handled mop to hook the corner of the hanging light and pull it out of the Pres' way while he climbed the ladder.

Hopefully you've got the picture (pardon the pun):

the Pres up on the ladder
Luke holding the hanging light out of the way with the mop handle
and me, standing in the GR to give centering directions

Can you picture it?

Because, there was no one to go get the darn "masterpiece" and hand it to the Pres!!

The three of us laughed so hard, it took another fifteen minutes to re-group and get on with the task at hand!

I realize now that in the photo, it doesn't look centered, but it is, trust me.
Some of us around here have "issues."

Just sharing adult silliness and The Perfect Place with you and those at

That is, indeed, the perfect place and in the process of getting it there you made yourself a memory.

Laughing out loud here ... You have a way with words! I can imagine the ladder and all the hush and excitement! Such a beautiful painting ... or is it a photography - paint-graphic art - very well done!

Yes, I can picture it. The three of you sound like you always have a blast.
That looks great hanging there

Yes, I can just picture the scene as you described it and can't help thinking what a hazardous undertaking it must have been. The end result though is perfect, and yes, the picture is centred. I have a thing about pictures etc being 'off' so I would notice it straight away.
I think that place was made and waiting for that very picture.

Yes, it's centered! It's the angle of the camera that might make it look like it isn't, but it is! I moved here two years ago and still have boxes of stuff to hang. I made a list of things to accomplish this year and getting everything hung is up near the top.
