Lunch and Launch Where?
When I got home from the gym Monday morning, I began telling the Pres how one of my friends suggested that I go to Harbor Freight Tools to look for replacement tires rather than the local hardware store because they would cost much less.
(oh, that's right...I never told you how I got a FLAT TIRE on the kayak carrier while on my most recent kayak excursion. Well, I did. And because the darn tire was flat the entire assembly tipped to the side with the kayak securely strapped to it which made pulling it up the steep gravel hill very difficult...grrrrrr! That contributed to "The Not So Perfect Day".)
Fast forward to today because it's the present that matters. So, after quickly changing my clothes, the Pres and I headed into town to get the dog licenses at Town Hall
Although obtaining the dog licenses was a success, we had no luck finding tires.
Since they didn't have the axle size, we bought Slime Tire Sealer instead (which has since been placed in the tires of the kayak carrier).
The Pres insists that I will NOT get another flat. And life is about trust, right?

Now, since it was lunch time, the Pres suggested we stop at Dennys, which we do not have close to home.
Lunch was GOOD and I, as usual, was starving so everything vanished from my plate!
Since I drove, the Pres asked me if I wanted to go home a different way. Driving home "the back way" proved to be as good as lunch if not better because look...I found my next kayak challenge for this week! The Pres suggested that we take a peek.
Oh, not to worry, I won't go over the dam, although I would love to...just once...wouldn't you?
However, I'll put in just above it. While we were there we checked out the path to the water. I will say that getting the kayak to the water will definitely be a challenge and give the repaired wheels a workout. The gravel path to the water is at least 60-75 yds uphill from the parking area!
just saying and sharing...
