Tropical Beauty


Digging through the archives, I came across one of my favorite birds seen while vacationing in Aruba.  The Troupial is one of the most striking birds native to Aruba.  A large oriole with it's unmistakable contrasting bright orange and black pattern, it has the most beautiful blue at the base of it's bill and around it's eye.  It's song is sheer Heaven.

Aruba! That's it! I've been looking for a spring break place to go with my sister and my cousin. I don't think we were going to go quite that far, but it does sound fun. And the bird pics are gorge!

i could not be more jealous of these beautiful images. a joy to see today as it is 23 degrees here and aruba is sounding very nice!!
