Nurture Nature
Looking out the slider during Winter storm Helena on Saturday, I couldn't help but feel compassionate for everything that lives outdoors. However, it was the birds that got to me.
The snow fell making visibility next to impossible at times.
In fact, I could hardly see the trees, let alone the birds.
Small and fragile, they clung to the feeders and baffles as the wind began to intensify.
Fluffing up their feathers to insulate themselves from the cold, they would retreat into the nearby hemlocks for a break occasionally. Over and over, they emerged from the trees for just one more nibble of seed or suet. Then back to take cover.
I mean really. How could your heart not feel something for these little creatures? And trust me, this post is not about "the birds." Nor is it about Winter, which you know I love.
It is about TREES...trees that can nurture nature.
just seeing, saying and sharing...

Oh, one more thing.
Besides, you can always use the broken, downed trees to make a Winter reindeer...:)
