Homemade Snow Cones

Trying to brush off the crusted snow from the two old chairs we leave on the deck year round, I was recently interrupted by Moon.  At thirteen, that Shepherd Husky still enjoys this kind of weather.  And she loves to eat snow.

After the storms, she had snow cones.

While she ate snow, the local critters had quite a time of it after the storms.  While I sniffed Vicks Vapor Rub (feeling sorry for me????), they got to sniff fresh air provided my Mother Nature's blanket of white.

just seeing, saying and sharing...

JP, I hope you are starting to feel better. That is funny your dog eating snow. The cat my girls had while growing up use to eat bits of ice if the girls tossed it to her. Stay warm. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
She seems to be enjoying the snow!
Thanks for sharing your photo's.

All the best Jan

I'm sorry you have been sick. glad you are feeling better.
Now that I think of it...snow does have a scent. Maybe it's different for everyone. I couldn't explain if I wanted.

I feel for you being sick. Vicks Vapor Rub takes me back in time. I was always sick (as an asthmatic). Sick now as usual but I do my best to pretend I'm not or I'd never get out of bed. Stop the violins.

Feel well soon, JP.

Is that a deer I see in the snow? The deer is such a special animal, and your snow pics are interesting.

LOL I think dogs have a different definition of 'snow cone'! Lovely winter photos. The good news is that it won't last forever :)
