The Landing (cont.)

Well, the Pres and I stopped last week after calling him, letting him know we would be coming by and that I was interested in making a purchase.  He was as soft spoken and polite in person as he had been when we spoke a few weeks ago.

When we walked down the gravel driveway and rounded the corner, there he was sitting in a chair, being showered with flying bits of wood shavings and saw dust. It wasn't until his dogs (two beautiful Black Labs) barked that he shut off the sander, stood up, turned around and pulled the dust mask down. Extending his hand to shake ours, he smiled warmly as I "ooooooohed and aaaaaad" exeruberantly at everything there in his yard.
Can you see why?

Take a peek at Damon's Chainsaw Carvings and what he's capable of.  AMAZING detail and meticulous work as he gives new life to Mother Natures belongings.

This is what I came home with.

just seeing, saying and sharing...

The Landing (cont.)

with you and those at

The Pres and I spent quite a bit of time with Damon.  In fact, the Pres is going to bring him some large chunks of white pine and cedar that have fallen in our woods.  Hugging him good-bye, I promised him I'd make some Chocolate Chip cookies...:) and bring the dogs a treat!

That is so beautiful. It looks like it could take flight at any moment.

JP, That is the perfect fits. I love the detail. I am always amazed that people can carve with a chainsaw. I also love the new landing that the Prez built. He is very good. Blessings to you both. xoxo, Susie

The eagle is beautiful and i was wondering if it would be kept indoors or outdoors :-) as I know HOW much you enjoy these magnificent birds, JP. It is indeed a beautiful work of art.

Wow, that guy is so talented as I looked at what he has crafted. I can't even lift a chainsaw let alone make something like that. Amazing...Michelle

Wow, what a stunning piece of art. At first I wasn't sure if it was real or not.
