Opposite Ends

When the two men came to cut down and or top a few trees on the South side of the yard, we knew we would be left with a pile of work.  Quiet honestly the Pres felt that we could get the job done while I wanted to pay the loggers.
The Pres won.

This is what we needed to tackle...in mid-July no less.  What was that man of mine thinking?

just seeing, saying, and sharing...

Opposite Ends

with you and those at

That should keep him busy for a while.

Mine would be drooliing over a log pile like that, assuming it's not pine but rather hzrdwood! And I confess so would I! We are going to heat with wood this winter. We split all our wood last year by hand (axe, maul and wedge.) This year we got smart, and bought a used hydraulic splitter! We tend to get all 5 of us working on the woodpile too. Kids are big enough now to help, being all teenagers now. We have 3 chainsaws too, though the big Stihl 311 is only DH's--too much saw for me to run, and Monkeyboy isn't big enough yet either.

Oh my...that is a huge amount of work.... JP I don't see this labeled as Nature Notes, but the Linky didn't show in my post so if you want to link in some time, it is up now...Sorry about that...Michelle
Seems a lot to do ...do hope all progressed well.

All the best Jan
