Make Life Fun
Saturday was a volunteer activity for me. Following the GPS's instructions, I listened attentively and looked on both sides of the road as I heard, "arrived."
Really, I thought. I don't see anything resembling a local fair around anywhere. I did the next best thing.
Pulling my car off the road and flagging down a pickup truck pulling out of a gravel road, I ran over to the man to ask if he knew where Positively Pomfret was being held. "Just pull in here and follow the road," he said with a wide grin.
Local vendors peddling their beautiful Mums, attractions for the young and old alike, games for the kids and just good old-fashioned fun like towns had "back in the day."
Yet for me, the fun began right when I arrived. When I parked my car in the well manicured field, I could hep but notice a woman helping her son put on his costume. I JUST had to say something as I got out of my car. I mean how could I ignore this?
There it was standing in front of me...the largest Bald Eagle I'd ever seen.
His real name is Graham and he is the school mascot. He was such a polite young man as he wandered around the grounds...cheering everyone up.

But I'm not done. When I walked over to my "Boss" and told him that being the "magnet" that I am, I'd just met Graham, he said, "Stay here JP, I'll be right back."
