Just Plain Fair
Here in New England, Fall brings on the fairs. The Pres is not fond of them (other than the food), so we rarely go. However, I always enjoy them.
Serving as a contact for TLGV (The Last Green Valley), yesterday my volunteering paid off in more ways than one.
Volunteering to work (if you call explaining what "TLGV is all about work) at the Woodstock Fair , I once again felt the excitement in the air...
saw the smiles on people's faces, and felt the happiness all around me. When I went on my breaks, I even found the critters that the local farms display, along with their produce. To me, the young FFA (Future Farmers of America) students showing off all their hard work is always rewarding because without farmers, this country would be in bad shape.
