Still Sleeping

When Katniss, was not feeling well, all she seemed to do was sleep.  While I did research on her various intestinal issues, she slept.  Nothing seemed important to her other than her food and sleep.

On her most recent VET visit, a full blood panel done and once the results were in, it was time to set up her appointment to be spayed.  Looks like more sleep is on the horizon.  So I wondered...

While scientists can't say for certain that every animal sleeps, most creatures in the animal kingdom do, indeed, catch some zzz's. But not all animals experience sleep in the same way. ... Insects and fish, unlike some birds and all mammals, don't experience Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep.

just seeing, saying, and sharing...

Still Sleeping

with you and those at

She is such a pretty kitty! I'm wondering how old she is. I think I read somewhere that cats sleep an average of 16 hours per day. I also find it amusing that my dogs, and well, most dogs, adapt their nighttime sleeping habits with their owners. Still, they never wander around because they can't sleep!

Hope all is well with you and that your are surviving this cold, icy, snowy, blustery winter!

I know when I am sick, I crave sleep. Maybe I was a cat in a former life … hope Katniss makes a rapid recovery!

I thought they say sleep can be healing. Sending well wishes for Katniss.
Wishing you a happy day!
Ah, nothing sweeter than a sleeping kitty on your lap. I miss that. Guess Katniss needs sleep for her body to recover just like people do.

One of my cats was older when we adopted him so unsure of his age, but he certainly does sleep a lot. I'm pretty sure he'd sleep 24/7 if he didn't have to poo!
