Deck Work (While Supper was Burning)

Deck work can be tedious at times yet someone HAS to do it.  If I didn't, just think you wouldn't get the chance to see what I can catch with my camera.  So...there I sat...waiting patiently when my favorite Eastern Bluebird showed up.

Landing on the wrought iron shepherd's hook right above the birdbath, I knew I'd be in for a treat.  Katniss and I were very entertained...:)

just seeing, saying, and sharing...

I always love watching the birds in the bird bath. They look like they are having such a good time.

Cute little sweetie!
What a beautiful bird! And a great few shots!

I thought of you today. My husband called for me to rush to the family room and look out the window to our backyard. There, perched on out six foot high wooden fence was the most beautiful (and large) hawk. We gaped at it like typical city people and then I realized Layla was in the backyard. My 8 pound princess. I thought, wow, is Mr. Hawk eying his next dinner? We ran out making as much noise as possible and he flew away.

We have a lot of hawks in the neighborhood but they usually stay high in the trees. Wonder what drew this big dude to my fence.
