Based on what I'm seeing at my backyard feeders, I would say Winter is on it's way.  Seeing 5 males and one female sitting on the brush pile, I had to take the shot.  Although I'm always pleased to see all my birds that visit, seeing a lot of Cardinals always makes me smile.

I miss these colorful birds. They never made it all the way West, I guess. Your blog is so lovely.

Great photo. Those Cardinals stand out nicely against the barren landscape. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, JP. (And my cat wishes Katniss a Happy Thanksgiving, too. :-)

Such bright red spots amid the grey. They look like Christmas tree ornaments! Wishing you a lovely day tomorrow!! 💕

There's nothing better than seeing a cardinal or two to add some color to a winter landscape.
I've heard that a cardinal in your yard is a visitor from heaven. I always wonder who it is. Once there were 2 males and 1 female so I figured it must have been my mother, father and brother.
