Spending Christmas with the President was quiet.  The weather didn't help the somber mood as it was pouring rain with 40-60 mph winds.

Although I spoke with the kids, it just wasn't the same as being around them.  It was just TOO quiet without all the ruckus, all the interrupted conversations, all the laughter and all the love.

Deciding to rename my favorite Christmas book somehow made me feel better.  Sometimes, the truth hurts.

We had a small intimate Christmas and focused on the birth of our Savior. It didn't have the boisterousness of earlier years, but it was meaningful all the same. Perhaps sometimes it can be a blessing to slow down the pace a bit, at least for me. But I freely admit I'm ready to get back toward normal!
Thank you for sharing at
We're in lockdown here in Toronto. So it was just the two of us but we had all the trimmings anyway.
