It was time for Katniss' vaccine and wellness check this week. The "adventure" went something like this:
Jamming her into her little kitty carrier that she's had since she was a kitten, I carried her and her small sample of "residue" to the car. Anchoring her to the passenger seat, off we went...meowing all the way. Unable to understand her car riding logic, I think it's the motion that bothers her only crying while the car is moving. She stops when the car stops.
Once at the Vet's lot, I called letting them know that we were there. My Vet called back to discuss what they were doing for the little, twenty-two toed feral that now runs the house.
It was a cold, hard, driving rain and very windy that day so when I carried her to their portable tent setup outside the entrance and exit, it was nice to be under cover. (By the way, Katniss is infatuated with me in the shower so her being carried through the pouring rain was a non-event and remained cool as a cucumber.)
She was in and out in no time yet the best part was when she was in the car and spoke to me telepathically, of course, and said: "Mom, I didn't like going in without you. And Mom, they pinched me with a needle. Oh, and Mom, they were touching me and you know I only like you to touch me. Oh and Mom, they did my nails too...but not like you do. Oh, and Mom, I'm glad I'm with you again. Will you scratch my chin when we get home and Mom, can I snuggle in my blankie on your lap?"
BTW, Katniss did NOT utter one little cry all the way home...not one little meow. Did you know that CATS seem to have a homing instinct, which mean they can "perceive direction using something beyond the ordinary senses of taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing."
